CXOcustomer experience optimisation

Customer experience optimisation that starts at the search result.

Most journey maps begin on your homepage. Real journeys begin with a query. Founcy Solutions' customer experience optimisation traces your highest-traffic searches to the pages they land on, checks whether that first screen answers what was asked, then removes the friction between the visitor and the next step, using research and tests rather than opinion.

definition

What is customer experience optimisation?

Customer experience optimisation is the ongoing work of finding where people struggle on the way to doing what they came to do, then fixing it with evidence. It combines analytics, behaviour research, user feedback and controlled tests across the whole journey, not just the checkout or the contact form. Our version starts one step earlier: the search query and the landing page it leads to, because a page that doesn't answer the question that brought someone there loses them before any form or button gets a chance.

Traffic is up. Results aren't.

Tap the ones you recognise. We'll start the audit with those journeys.

what's included

Customer journey optimisation, from query to conversion.

Eight pieces of work. A small site might need half of them; a multi-product business usually needs all eight.

01

Intent-to-page audit

Your top organic landing pages scored on whether the first screen answers the queries that bring people there.

02

Journey maps

Maps for your key segments, split by entry channel: organic, paid, email and referrals from AI assistants.

03

Quantitative analysis

GA4 funnels and path exploration, drop-off points and form analytics, so the biggest leaks are found first.

04

Qualitative research

Heatmaps, session recordings, on-site polls and user interviews that explain why people stall.

05

Page-experience fixes

Core Web Vitals, mobile usability, intrusive pop-ups and accessibility issues treated as part of the experience.

06

Experiment roadmap

A hypothesis backlog scored by impact, confidence and effort, agreed with your team before anything ships.

07

Tests & rollouts

A/B tests where traffic allows, staged rollouts where it doesn't, each written up with what was learned.

08

CX measurement

A framework and dashboard for task completion, drop-off and leads per journey, so "better" has a number.

starts before the click

CRO tunes buttons. CX fixes journeys.

Conversion testing is one tool inside customer experience work, not the whole job. Here's the difference in practice.

how it works

Evidence first, redesign last.

Most of the value is in knowing what to fix. The fixes themselves are often smaller than you'd expect.

  1. 01

    Research

Analytics, Search Console queries, recordings, surveys and stakeholder interviews, all reviewed together.

    → research findings
  2. 02

    Map

Journeys by segment and entry point, with friction points ranked by how many people they cost.

    → journey maps
  3. 03

    Prioritise

Turn friction into hypotheses, score them, and agree the order with your team.

    → experiment roadmap
  4. 04

    Test & implement

Run experiments where traffic allows; ship direct fixes where the evidence is already clear.

    → tests and shipped fixes
  5. 05

    Measure & iterate

Report what changed, what didn't and why, then update the roadmap with what you learned.

→ results report and next round

what drives the cost

What does CX optimisation cost?

It scales with how many journeys you want fixed and how deep the research goes. Set the four drivers to see the shape of your program.

Journeys

Each segment and entry point gets its own map and backlog.

Research depth

Interviews and recordings explain the why that analytics can't.

Testing

Continuous testing needs a platform, design and analysis each round.

Development

Who builds the winning variants changes the scope a lot.

faq

Customer experience questions.

Conversion rate optimisation focuses on lifting specific conversion rates. Customer experience optimisation covers the whole journey, from the search intent before the click to what happens after someone converts. CRO testing is one of the methods used inside CX work.
Pages that answer the query clearly and load quickly serve visitors better, which is what Google's people-first guidance rewards. Just as importantly, a better landing experience turns the organic traffic you already have into more leads, without needing a single extra ranking.
Quick fixes such as broken forms, slow pages and unclear calls to action can show results soon after they ship. Tests need enough traffic to reach a reliable answer, so their timing depends on your volume. We'll tell you up front which category each change falls into.
Reliable tests need adequate sample sizes. Lower-traffic sites lean more on qualitative research, user interviews and fixes based on clear evidence, with staged rollouts instead of split tests.
Not when it follows Google's guidance on testing: no cloaking, canonical tags on variant URLs, temporary (302) redirects for redirect tests, and tests that only run as long as they need to. We set tests up that way by default.
Analytics and Search Console, CRM or e-commerce data where possible, and permission to install research tools in line with your consent setup. Recording tools are configured to mask personal data.
It depends on the number of journeys and segments, research depth, testing volume, and whether we build the winning variants or your team does. The scope builder above shows the shape; we fix a quote after a short scoping call.
